Not arguing, buy I saw a counterpoint to this thought experiment that somehow used CERN as a reference point to start going back. Sort of like how post-Nuclear bomb explosion samples of various elements are contaminated differently making dates of surgeries easier to calculate I think. It was less science than interesting thought experiment.
Oh and another one is the "uS Patent Number 1" game where time travel inventors have to win by going back and patenting the time machine as the first ever patent. Number one is missing...

You' re right and since humanity has not made any leaps in science, technology, health etc. then time travel does not exist.
