We have to look beyond ourselves. We have to see that our lives and destinies are in the hand of Almighty God. The nation to which you belong is not an accident. It is not a matter of our own individual choice. It is a decision of Almighty God. We can only be the kind of people we ought to be as we fulfill our allotted role in the nation that God has placed us.
Acts 17:26
God made from one[common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands and abodes)
God has ordained all nations, He ordained the area allotted to every nation, He has ordained the times in which we live in those areas. It is no accident that you and I live where we live and during this time in history. We are part of a divine plan that embraces all nations. We can never really fulfill God's plan for us as individuals until we find and take our right place in the nation in which God has ordained that we should live.
George Washington fulfilled his role in the nation in which God placed him. He, as a patriot, sought divine revelation, wisdom and mercy as he fulfilled his role.
So do I personally pull a Washington and let the people essentially force me into Presidency or is that just for him? I am certain that roles exist but I imagine that God works out the details so I am uncertain how I should personally move forward so I opt for stillness. I most certainly should probably not be president either. I promised to blow up the moon and I am not really against it as an idea and I kind of want to know what that would look like. Awfully heavy burden to have the ability and not know the consequences.... Pressure! I probably wouldn't. Maybe get secret service to change the password on the football so I don't drunk dial the Death Star with a couple boom booms. I do not drink anymore but with the pressure of being able to blow up the moon thinking that you probably shouldn't but still maintaining curiosity.... My word, my vanity! That song really was about me!
I will say that I do like it here for what he and his buddies set up for us!
All of this to get us to turn back to The Father and away from the principalities, spiritually wicked leaders! God hath ordained everything in Creation for Creation is his Breath and His alone. Without His Word Creation would cease quite possibly to never have been if within His Will. Free will means we get to choose who we will serve and serving God means sharing the Gospel, good news, which is that Christ Jesus had set us free from the rulers of Old long ago if we would only accept him as King, Usurping man from rule over his brother for any that would hear his message. 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
I was looking for Ephesians cuz I feel like it pretty much lays it out in the open and clear as day too, I saw a video though so maybe not the text so much without some context. Started looking for Ecclesiastes and ended up there. He is always pointing me where I need to go even when I cannot see it!
