I cant be the only one thinking the will smith slap is just a publicity stunt to get people talking about the oscars more due to previous poor ratings right?

I stopped watching 20 years ago or very few hours over those 20 yrs , a movie with kids here or there , I believe I would not be awake had I not stopped !
