My lighthearted comments were in the context of the discussion thread "Based on the parameters of some dewds programming".

Perhaps "Parameters" would be the main piece to carry with to your college wikipedia lecture. Are not most AI filled with some kind of parameters before being set upon its intended task? I ask this lightheartedly, not as a request for a long and deeply philosophical discussion that goes way off topic. :)

for now that's how most ai works, but that will not always be the case

Leading AI textbooks define the field as the study of "intelligent agents": any system that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of achieving its goals.

I'm not seeing where you clarify where AI would stop having initial parameters when being instantiated.
