I've believed this for some time now.
Our dependence on oil and grain is absolutely terrible.
If I was in charge of bringing about God's kingdom I'd focus very heavily on getting people off of oil and annual food crops.
Perennial foods and start making things out of wood again... stop digging holes in this beautiful earth.
So we stop using oil, where does our power come from?
I'd be fine with if we stopped using electricity all together.
But if you need power on a personal scale I recommend a wood gasifier and a plot of trees being managed for firewood.
P.s. I meant more like stop making packaging, clothing, furniture, cars and basically everything else out of polymers.
And this solves what exactly? Because now everyone needs a ploy of trees to power and heat our stuff... Do you know how much wood that would take for a standard household of 4?
Use less. Release the millions of acres of nation parks. Still use oil for heat but stop using it for water bottles.
Why does it have to be extremes? We can't just make improvements?
Destroying the planet for "power" brings no glory to God, fren.
