This is what's killing people and throttling alternatives:
"....appropriate treatment in accordance with evidence-based medical protocols using FDA approved medicines as medically necessary and consistent with the indicated standard of care.”
Not performing the "indicated standard of care" would be malpractice and cost all these people their licenses. How is the standard of care determined? Through evidence, that is what "evidence-based practice" is. Sounds very scientific. What is this evidence and where does it come from? It is statistically significant results, from clinical studies, comparing treatments. And those studies might be... comparing one drug against another... As done by the drug companies... They pick the winners...
