I doesn’t look fake. He was panicking. He had water which is everyone’s first impulse to use, slipped and fell after spilling it. Baking soda would have been a good choice in a small electrical fire (you’d need a lot for that) but he just needed the right kind of fire extinguisher, which apparently he didn’t have. Everyone should have one. Best bet in that case is get out, call 911. Poor guy. He could have been burned when he fell near it.
By the way, if you’re ever cleaning your stove and there is a fire from grease- don’t open the door. Most lock anyway but some older ones don’t. Shut off the breaker for it. Stand by to make sure it’s out.
