Personally, I don’t think that the Russian flagship was taken out by Ukraine. It might have been the US or another NATO ally in a last hailmary attempt to stop the Russians from entering underground Azovstal and to trigger WWIII. Knowing that the stakes are way too high, Putin isn’t calling them out on it and the media is now reporting it as a “Ukrainian” counterstrike. I’m just spitballing though.
