VII. Only true believers can keep the Easter Festival In this union they can have no share who deny that in the Son of God, Himself true God, man's nature abides, assailing the health-giving mystery and shutting themselves out from the Easter festival. For, as they dissent from the Gospel and gainsay the creed, they cannot keep it with us,
This pretty much excludes the entire catholic church from participating in Easter, doesn't it?
Who do you think defined the creed, namely that Jesus is the Son of God? And decided which books were part of the New Testament? And held council after council denouncing anyone who challenged that Jesus is God?
Who do you think defined the creed,
The "holy" catholic church. They even pat themselves on the back in it, how nice. What is it the Bible says about vain repetitions?
And decided which books were part of the New Testament?
Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and, to some extent, the Apostles including Paul.
And held council after council denouncing anyone who challenged that Jesus is God?
Yep and during those councils they blasphemed the Work of Christ for our salvation.
Dude, what we call the New Testament did not exist anywhere on Earth until several councils by Catholic bishops adopted an official list about 380 AD. Prior to that time some regions included The Epistle of Barnabas in their New Testament. Some regions banned Revelations. You can thank the Catholics for your New Testament.
