After Biden boldly declared we’d face food shortages, now this article downplays it after interviewing both food producers and agricultural experts.
My stores are fully stocked. I’m not seeing any signs of distress.
The article says the US has enough wheat so we’d just cut back on exports if we ran into a shortage. The article also made fun of conspiracy theories about the shortages and Dan Bongino for spreading hysteria.
I know, I’m looking at the source, it’s the MSM, but I’m starting to think it’s not going to be as bad as we thought it would be. Just more fear mongering by the DS, along with chaos and confusion.
Every day it’s a new story out there. I expect that, but man, I’ve spent a lot of cash on extra food.
What are you all thinking?

With the current spiral of bs floating around, I'd go with the better to be prepared than not answer. If even on dry goods and a well stocked freezer. If they're full of it, you're good for a few months.
We have had no eggs in our area grocery stores for 3 weeks. If you find some in larger cities, they’re pushing $5.99 a dozen too. Other than eggs we have everything else stocked well. Nobody is buying high priced meats..
I've been wondering about this, also. Keep in mind, disinfo is everywhere, like whizzing bullets and we are caught in the crossfire. I have seen no problem with either ordering food or buying food at local stores. No shortages, and no empty shelves. Abundance everywhere. Frankly, American people are so overweight, it would do everyone good to cut back, say 10%, on their daily food intake. I'm one of the rare ones who are not overweight, so that leaves me with plenty. Still, the smart person keeps a food storage supply for at least a month. That's just common sense.
Yes, we all should be ready for any type of disaster. Make sure you have at least a month's supply of everything you use on a daily basis. Then, focus on the once a week items, then the once every other week items, then once a month, and so on. Focus on items that extended family members may need ( sanitary supplies, diapers, etc). Make sure your medicine/health cabinet is stocked. Sewing supplies are good to have (different size sewing needles, threads in different color, buttons, etc to mend and make items). Learn to make sidewalk chalk, melt down broken crayons to make "new" crayons, have board games, puzzles for all ages and play them. The more you can get everyone OFF the internet, the better you will be. Get into the habit to reduce, recycle and reuse. Try to plant some heirloom seeds to help with produce. If you can have chickens in your area, get a few. The more you depend on yourself, the better off you will be.
My point was I think the dire warnings and threats are being downplayed now. It may have been just another psy-op to instill fear and promote chaos. I have saved enough food to last six months. Time to start consuming the items with expiration dates!
Great point on using items with the closest expiration date. Rotating your stock is very important.
They are losing on every front! Keep it up Patriots!
I think it is to early to tell. It will be fall and winter before we know due to companies producing months in advance and due to spring planting, recent slaughter of chickens and turkeys due to Avian bird flu. Learn to can. Pressure cookers were in shortage awhile back, so too will be canning jars, me thinks!
