Went to check for the millionth time if I could get in, looks like finally something is happening, and they want to verify with my phone number. I know the world probably knows everything about me anyway, but this chafes. I’m curious to know what you all think about this.

I don’t believe I ever had to give my number to use Twitter or fb ….. recent stories of online use leading to other consequences, (ie social credit system) are what make me wary…. Although it is really probably too late anyway….if you have a smart phone.
Me either. Let me elaborate. I will never Register with the worlds largest porn site known as Twitter🤮🤮🤮 And I created FaceBook In Beta August 2004 she only certain .edu schools email addresses were allowed to sign up. A decade later friend told me he creates his own CalleriD system by searching google with new incoming call phone numbers to see if they Bring up a Facebook profile. And he said 80% do.
Lol. I would not ever sign up at that personal cost, That was the first time I ever heard of Facebook which is just some random website asking for a phone numbe. I signed up for eBay and PayPal it in the 90s before you had to have a credit card to sign up on eBay
