So my nephew recently move from our home state (turning more blue daily) to my place in a crimson red state to escape not only the lack of jobs and political climate but also some bad relationships.
Well part of it followed him. The clot shot mandate. He had his first shot in march 21 and fist episode of chest pain and dizziness the following April.
He had his booster less than 2 weeks before moving here, his job required it and he didn't know he would be moving at the time, and yesterday he had another episode including passing out.
So as his doctor says there's nothing wrong and he should get over the fear mongering of the shot.
Do any of you peds know anything to cleanse him of this crap before it dose permanent damage??
I'm an internet person, so take my advice for what it's worth, no liabilities if your family follows the advice or not.
CHEST PAIN. Doesn't matter what AGE it is, chest pain is serious business. That warrants an ER visit for a full chest pain workup. It'll be bloodwork, cardiac markers, imaging, and of course vitals monitoring.
I don't know what kind of shitty doctor he's going to, but stop going to that doctor. No, seriously. A doctor is a MD/DO/MBBS in their title. That's IT. If the person is not a MD/DO/MBBS, you're paying the same amount of money for someone with less experience.
But moving on from that shitty doctor advice, go to a real doctor. Do NOT go to urgent care. Next time he experiences chest pain, head straight for the ED.
Meanwhile, get a family medicine or internal medicine doctor. Once again, MD/DO/MBBS. The doctor will send your nephew for bloodwork and imaging. But because it is NOT the ER, the results will be back slower.
Without knowing more details, there's no possible way to give good advice. Your nephew needs to go see a real doctor, none of this naturopath/chiropractor bullshit. No NP/PAs. Go see a real DOCTOR because no real doctor, no med student even, would miss fucking CHEST PAIN, holy shit.
Oh yea, vitamin D, C, E, B's, take quercetin if he wants to, definitely take NAC, ABSOLUTELY NO EXERCISE OR PANIC ATTACKS. If it makes the heartrate go up? it's a nono. No sex either, that means, without having this worked out. Nothing that makes heartrate go up.
SOOOOOO I don't want you to panic. A lot of things can cause chest pain, and a lot of things can cause chest pain that makes you pass out. It is concerning that he took the vaccine. Go to a doctor to find out the diagnosis FIRST. Because you can't treat something if you don't have a ballpark of what it is.
well, good luck to both you and him.
