Smart news APP on android

The past thee days I noticed these new notifications throughout the day from some APP called Smart News. I never remembered installing it and I definitely never searched for such an app. It was putting me in a bad mood.. always these notifications about covid deaths and 10 murdered here and 13 murdered there.. Just figured out how to uninstall it. Did anyone else here have this APP mysteriously appear on their phones?

It reminded me very much like CNN.. just very negative news and I never even installed it.. must have been a Google play thing.. they definitely wanted me to get thier "smart" news updates haha
