Due to this, they seem to have a deep seeded need to believe the media (and trust institutions in general). This is true for many right and left leaning Canadians. It pains them to even consider that the media is completely corrupt and is just lying to them.

This bind faith in the media by so many Canadians has allowed the Canadian media to be one of the worst in the western world. Canadian media doesn't even stop running stories that have already been completely debunked. They just don't care and assume that their audience will never fact check them. And they are right.

They have also also kept Furer Black Face Hitler in power. On the plus side, even with the media running non-stop defense for him, he is still very unpopular even according to the media's polls. The problem is, the media has allowed him to stay in power even as he collects scandals at every opportunity he gets. And they are never small scandals, any one of his scandals would have ended any previous prime minister.
