'The government' didn't do anything. The 'people' in the government did that. Blaming 'the government' is like blaming guns for killing or the TV for making you stupid.

in a Constitutional Republic , which is what we are supposed to be, We The People are the government. We elect fellow citizens who represent our needs and concerns. That is what the writers of the Constitution clearly set out. Unfortunately , for at least a century , the DS installs the candidate of their choice, negating what the Constitution intends.
