Who among us haven't had our feet dangling from both sides of the fence at times.
If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!
Lot of truth here!
If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn`t buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh (or cry). A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".
Well I forwarded it to you so where does that put me?
Based af love your dad already. My dad passed in2019 exactly 2 months before his first grandchild was born 😣 I wish I could say he was based. He was on to some things but the NASA realizations would break him. He was huge into the cosmos and loved the Neil Armstrong lore
My father worked for Rocketdyne/Rockwell international. he was part of putting the man on the moon, and responsible for designing the material that they used on the shuttle crafts, that would allow them to withstand reentry. He got an award and a handshake for that, I have a picture of it. But of course because he worked for the government, he got nothing else than the pat on the back.
We actually got to walk through the fuselage of the first shuttlecraft. I have every kind of picture, button, and patch, and poster. Creepy thing, as I actually have a huge poster Challenger.
More importantly… When he died, I found stacks and stacks and stacks of documentation regarding all the things that he worked on with the shuttlecraft. Even some interesting little divert engine test models. I’ve kept them all.
That is really special that you got to keep all of that. My heart goes out to you because I know how much I miss my own dad. I can’t look up at the stars and not think of my dad, who loved astronomy. Your dad sounds like a brilliant man with passion and that is cool.
