crickets are disgusting, you can not breed them in any large quantity and have a safe and sterile environment. even a 10 gallon tank for feeding to pets can be challenging.

Not to mention that they carry parasites.

I stopped buying them for my pets due to how disgusting they were and having to deal with them making my pets sick. After the second time both my dragons refused to touch the things.

I've seen real "soi bois" that have had nothing but soy from a very young age they can look alien, I dont even want to know what a cricket raised kid is gonna look like.
