They were extremely friendly and very accommodating. I am also grateful they saw me as valuable and look forward to helping them kick butt in the industry.

Take a chance no matter what the listed job requirements are. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by offering them something of value. YOU.

I hope for your sake they don't introduce a new policy 2 days after you start that specifically "regretfully requires people who have just spent a small fortune relocating to Seattle to show proof of vaccine before getting access to the building, or to the IT system, or being added to payroll"

I did not relocate. No move required. The requirement for proof of vax was removed from the offer letter and I have the text message saying as much from management. I am prepared.
