I think the reality is we are still in the Pleistocene era. It is characterized by a pattern of widespread glaciation lasting a hundred thousand years (an ice age) punctuated by interglacial warm periods lasting some twelve thousand years. This has consecutively repeated many times over the past few million years. If the pattern holds we are overdue for a mega deep freeze with glaciers advancing over everything we have built.
All true. Though the latest studies on interglacial timeframes have been extended to between 15,000 and 20,000 years. We are probably not overdue, but at the midpoint or beyond.
Imagine what several thousand years of an enlightened technological civilization would look like on planet Earth. It will be great to have that much time in the post-cabal world before we have to move to Mars to try to warm up.
