For me it was when Obama went back on his promises and got involved in Syria.

I wasn't necessarily a Dem at that time but I defiantly leaned more left. That was the first time I saw loud and clear how much both parties loved the war in Syria. I was so angry and stopped caring and declared I would never vote. I was reawakened in 2015 by Trump and have followed the man ever since.
