Perhaps they did a much better job this time with compositing, but it may still be a studio setting. Or they can do what the Mandalorian series did, which is to project the background as a video onto a background screen. Then there would be no green screen artifacts, but the lighting and shadows may still hint of fakery.
Audio seemed rather too clear and noise-free for an outdoors shoot unless there was an additional mike on the body. But not an audio geek. I don't believe it was at the balcony. Any wide shots anywhere? Anyone seen it from outside the WH? It's all a blank.
For the balcony speech, the Joe actor gave a young and perky vibe. That's not a 79 year old with dementia. It reminded me of the Joe falling from the bike, the musculature of that Joe (see his legs) didn't seem like a declining 79 year old.
