As for Q, it is a major part of this effort, although I think most people don't understand it.

Now understanding that there will be a storm. An entity known as 'Q' appeared on the chans. Q refers to the highest security clearance in the US Government.

At first blush, the posts seem like gibberish. But you need context to understand it.
Q's purpose is not to give you secret information if you can solve the puzzle.
Q's purpose is to build a following of people eager to research on the internet.
If you are a US Government employee, not able to disgorge information without going to prison, how do you get the people to learn of what you know?
Parallel construction. You give clues and let people discover the information on their own using publicly available data.
So Q posts some stuff to just generate interest, such as the early posts. Then motivational posts. And then the 'PROOFS' posts.
No single PROOF post proves anything. 'The Future Proves the Past' is what Q says.

Every 'PROOF' is deniable, but the probability of them all being coincedences approaches zero as they stack up.
So do you believe that a person made 5000 posts as a joke? Imagine the effort it would take to make 5000 unique posts. Wouldn't the tee-hee factor die down a bit after the first two years?
