"We know that in the symbolism of the book of Revelation this “angel” coming down from heaven is none other than our Lord Jesus Christ because of the marks that are given. I do not mean by this that Jesus is literally an “angel,” only that the angel in his symbolism stands for our Lord. The Lord Jesus is always pictured in the New Testament as “coming down from heaven,” and certainly He is the One who has “great power” or “great authority,” and who “lightens the earth with His glory.” Of Him it is written, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing” Rev. 5:12). And again, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Mat. 24:30)."
"Without doubt this is the same “another angel” we met in Revelation 10:1-2. “And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed in a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: and he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth.” Some would make this the many-membered corporate Christ, but by the identifying characteristics it is clear that this is the glorious Head of the body, the indwelling spirit of Christ, the One who indeed fills the whole Christ body, yet remains uniquely the Head of all. He is clothed with a cloud and the rainbow is upon His head, just where it was when we saw Him before in this book. The only two places where we see it is here and in chapter four. Furthermore, He is clothed with a singular cloud, denoting the firstborn Son of God; for when Christ is seen coming in all His saints it is stated that “He cometh with clouds — plural — the many clouds of glory! Now, in the tenth chapter His face is like the sun, just as it was in the holy mount of Hermon, in His transfiguration. His feet are as pillars of fire, just as John saw them in chapter one in the midst of the seven churches. He has a scroll in His hand, opened. Who opened it? Why, He did, the Lamb did, over there in chapter five! And now in our text we find that this “another angel” likewise comes down from heaven with great authority and the earth is lightened with His glory — the glory of that same One whose face is as the sun! Who can deny that this is indeed THE LAMB, even Jesus."
"I would point out that in Greek grammar, when the word “another” is used with a noun before it, it is very significant. It signifies literally, “another who is the same,” and throughout the book of Revelation we find this word descriptive of our Lord. Remember, Jesus told His disciples that when He went away He would send them “another Comforter.” There we have the same grammatical structure in the Greek, indicating “another who is the same.” The Lord made it clear that this “another Comforter” was truly Himself in another form! “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you (as Jesus Christ in the flesh), and shall be in you (as Christ in the Spirit).” And then He adds with unmistakable clarity, “I will not leave you comfortless: I WILL COME UNTO YOU” (Jn. 14:16-18). Can we not see by this that the Comforter, or the Spirit of truth, was not another or different person, but another manifestation or form of the very same Christ who said “I am the Truth,” standing there before His disciples! He was “another Comforter,” oh yes, ANOTHER WHO IS THE SAME!"

Revelation 19 KJV 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Too hard to keep the adulterations straight?
There is a backstory to this too, with a believer being made a part of the body of Christ, we receive all His attributes in our glorified bodies. We are liken to an angel and in our glory we shine forth like the sun. Literally. But since you all have tossed this out the window, you completely missed the story that John mistook an angel for the Lord and fell to his knees to worship Him. Because we will look so much like Jesus Christ.
We are the body of Jesus Christ. When we get to this point, Jesus Christ is all that is seen in us, Babylon is fallen completely. As you quoted "for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
That is the message of the messenger whether it be Jesus Christ the head, or Jesus Christ the body, both are mighty ones we are united with the mighty one Jesus Christ.
"The “spirit of might” is one of the seven spirits of God resting upon the sons of God. Isaiah revealed this deep mystery when he penned these blessed words: “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord” (Isa. 11:1-2). The seven spirits of God rested upon the Head of this many-membered body of Christ, and it is from Him that all the sons of God receive this anointing (I John 2:27). The Spirit of Might which belongs to the sons of God is the Spirit of Jesus, for He upon whom the seven-fold Spirit first rested is called THE MIGHTY GOD (Isa. 9:6). It is only “in Him” that one can become mighty! There is a glorious company of people, who along with Jesus the Mighty God, is termed “the Mighty.” Asaph, the song and praise leader of Israel, prophesied of this company, saying, “God standeth in the CONGREGATION OF THE MIGHTY; He judgeth among the gods (mighty ones). I have said, YE ARE GODS; and all of you are THE CHILDREN (SONS) OF THE MOST HIGH” (Ps. 82:1,6). This company of “the Mighty” in whose midst God stands is none else but those who are “in Christ” who is “the Mighty God” and are thus “strong in the Lord” and “in the power of HIS MIGHT.” And the word of the Lord through Asaph declared plainly that “the Mighty” are, every one of them, the sons of the most High, truly, the manifest sons of God. Aren’t you glad!"
"So now we read about the “judgment,” the “desolation,” and the “destruction” of the fallen woman, the harlot, Babylon, and that she will be “utterly burned with fire” and symbolically “cast into the sea” to be found no more at all. Ah, this is different! These scenes speak of the destruction of Babylon, but not her “fall.” Babylon remains to be judged and destroyed, but Babylon “fell” long centuries ago when the church apostatized from the spirit and the truth and became the fallen woman, the great harlot and the mother of harlots. Can you not see the difference? The harlot system of religious Babylon is in a fallen state as much as anything in the universe is fallen. She doesn’t appear to men to be fallen, for she claims to be “the church” and her outward appearance is that of the representative of our Lord Jesus Christ. Beloved, make no mistake about it, BABYLON IS FALLEN, and the whole church system of man is religious Babylon! She is an unclean, perverted woman! Until we see clearly this difference between “fallen” Babylon and “destroyed” Babylon we will miss the message of the angel come down from heaven!"
"and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus"
Obviously of the Body of Christ. Often in Revelation it is Jesus Christ the one head or the Body giving a message. As you note 18:1 is different from 19:10, but both are the same, we are one in our Lord.
No, it's not the same. Trying to find the mystery babbling interpretation is leading you away from the deeper relevation. While we may seem to be the same as Jesus Christ, we most certainly will not be made into god's, with the ability to create new life, etc.
At this point of Revelation, Jesus Christ is sitting at the right hand of the Father waiting for all enemies to be put under his feet. The tribulations are trying the Earth with fire, giving one last chance for people to know that He is the Lord, and be saved out of the world. When the Father has decided that He's gotten all the good out, there will be nothing but enemies left. And down will come the Lion from the tribe of Judah, with His sword. Bloodbath.
Pretty simple to understand, if you just take it literally.
The weapons of Jesus Christ are all spiritual. There is no physical bloodbath.
Another question came to my mind, maybe you know the answer, does Jesus Christ ever accept the worship of Himself?
If the spirit of Jesus Christ is prophecy, why do you keep cutting His prophecies off? The Word, which is holy and true, says blood. So when people see blood, as it is written, they shall know He is the Lord.
Your putting physical blood on a spiritual symbol, what verse are you thinking physical blood in?
Isaiah 63:3 KJV “I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.”
Yeah, you're pretty scared by the Old Testament stuff. Revelation is not the Old Testament.
There is no physical bloodshed in Revelation. That's what we're studying and talking about. A lot of Christians have been scared into submission by an ungodly fear, aimed at the carnal man, that is why I'm sharing this teaching, people need to be freed of such notions, it's a doctrine of fear and terror, that is not what Jesus Christ is about. Aren't you glad?
And the even deeper relevation to this (and further proof that this is just an angel;)
Revelation 17 KJV 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
Here's where the angel comes in, an angel whose job is to minister to the Earth. It isn't Jesus Christ who throws off the harlot and burns her, it's the kings of the Earth, who have been influenced by the angel to see who the harlot really is. Just like believers will minister to and influence the Earth, in eternity, in Jesus Christ name and in God's will.
The harlot is not an actual woman, she or it is the Babylonian system. Your literal, physical interpretation doesn’t work for the burning of the system or for the eating of its flesh, these things have a symbolism, spiritual interpretation, not in any way physical.
Yeah, you're pretty scared by the Old Testament stuff. Revelation is not the Old Testament.
There is no physical bloodshed in Revelation
You are setting up the ministry of the antichrist. God has given us prophecies so that those who have eyes to see, clearly know the future. You are erasing these prophecies and replacing them with something that no one can interpret. You are paving the way for the DECEPTION in which the antichrist shall come. He will come exactly as you are teaching, no signs of God will be fulfilled, as it is written. But everything will be changed from within! And everyone will be happy, and everyone will rejoice! And he will make a covenant with y'all. And then he will lead you to the guillotine, remove your head, drink your blood and then eat your flesh. And you'll be seriously surprised by it, because you were looking for something else, instead of what the Lord told you to look for.
But don't fret, if you do make it through with your head attached, I will come back with the Lord Jesus and preach to you exactly like I am now. Next time it'll be much easier, because you will already know He is the Lord. And that He is not prestin eby's Lord.
Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
See andy, your sectarian teaching looks like the lamb, but it is the voice of the dragon. The church has been subject to that oppressive teaching for too long.
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
See, God's people are presently in Babylon, or under the spell of Babylonian teachings. Your physical interpretation of Revelation needs to be completely destroyed.
Andy I wandered Babylon for 40 years without this particular interpretation, that's why I'm sharing it. Revelation is 100% spiritual, and 0% physical, it is about Jesus Christ and Him being unveiled in our lives, it is a much better interpretation than that terror stuff you're pushing.
See andy, your sectarian teaching looks like the lamb, but it is the voice of the dragon. The church has been subject to that oppressive teaching for too long.
Looks like a lamb - imitates Jesus Christ
Spake as a dragon - change God's word into deception.
You're the one who belongs to a secton eby, I belong to Jesus Christ and what He spoke. I have no other allegiance.
I'm sharing a teaching.
God gave teachers to the body of Christ for a specific purpose:
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Oh yes you do, your allegiance is to a doctrine. You're allegiance is to a particular interpretation. That interpretation salts all your communication about Jesus Christ.
Oh yes you do, your allegiance is to a doctrine.
I guess if believing the Bible as it is written, without taking away or adding any words, is doctrine, then you would be correct.
Now tell us what Preston believes about that
From what I've gathered, and I really can't speak for another, he believes the whole Bible, he studied it his whole life, and he teaches it as the spirit of Jesus Christ opens it for him.
I've heard your doctrine on the Book, I've heard your interpretation for 40 years. For 40 years I've been a committed Christian man. Jesus Christ has convicted me about letting doctrine lord over me, I've been reprimanded, I've repented, I'll repent again if I find myself conveying a doctrine that doesn't comply with:
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
I see the same passion in Preston Eby that I have for bringing every thought captive to Christ and Christ alone.
Thank you for asking Andy
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
This verse is given to us to acknowledge the struggle that we face while we are IN THE FLESH. We are taught to worship in the spirit BECAUSE WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE FLESH. You are to fight daily against the flesh. The LITERAL flesh.
I am not a spiritual being yet, not while I'm trapped inside this flesh. And with that I do not spiritualize the words of God when they are to be taken literally.
Andy, you are a spiritual being.
I told you a week ago to move from Romans 7 "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not" to Romans 8 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit"
How can you walk after the Spirit if you are not a spiritual being?
"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit"
You are a spiritual being now!
"For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
Who told you you are not a spiritual being?
Receive the Holy Spirit Andy, now!
Babylon is a religious system that tells you that you are not a spiritual being. Jesus Christ said to receive the Holy Spirit, take it into your life, let it train you, and deliver you from your sin.
I'll rejoice with you.
"One of the most startling facts about the “fall” of Babylon is that it is the result of her fall that she becomes the abode of demons, a confine of every unclean religious spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hated bird, or manifestations of unrighteousness and spiritual impurity. It must be made clear to our hearts that this description of Babylon — this uncleanness, these spirits, these hated birds lodging within her bespeak the doctrines of devils, the perversion of truth, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men, adopting the ways and methods of the world, intermingling pagan idolatry with the gospel of Jesus, impugning the nature and character of God and His Christ, and bringing the whole into confusion until every foul spirit hides under the skirt of religion. Because of this fallen condition the Lord’s people are admonished to “come out of her” in order that they might not “be partakers of her sins” and thus be candidates to “receive of her plagues.” If her fallen state signified her collapse or destruction, God’s people would no longer be in her because she would no longer exist as an institution nor would they be leaving her to escape her plagues, for the plagues would already have been poured out. But “fallen” Babylon has not yet been rewarded for her iniquities, nor has she been utterly burned with fire, nor has she received double for all her sins, nor has she been cast into the depths of the sea never to be found again! Armed with this knowledge we can now understand the great truth the Holy Spirit would make real to our hearts, that this cry, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen,” refers not to the judgment and destruction of the system, but rather to the spiritual condition of that system in the present."
One of the most startling facts about the “fall” of Babylon is that it is the result of her fall that she becomes the abode of demons, a confine of every unclean religious spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hated bird, or manifestations of unrighteousness and spiritual impurity.
This is before the fall, read carefully.
If you think the church interpretated what I believe or you should really go back and look at my comments and posts. Show me where I ever posted another man's words like you do. I only trust one man and that's Jesus Christ
You repeat another's doctrine every time you speak of the tribulation period, the rapture, the antichrist, post tribulation, pre tribulation, mid tribulation, and a multitude of other carnal physical interpretations of Revelation. You've bought into a given interpretation, unless maybe you came up with it all on your own?
You might need some teaching. You say you trust Jesus, but you're not spiritual? How can you know Jesus outside of a spiritual relationship?
You repeat another's doctrine every time you speak of the tribulation period, the rapture, the antichrist, post tribulation, pre tribulation, mid tribulation, and a multitude of other carnal physical interpretations of Revelation.
Come on man, this is cheap, I expected more from you. I interpret the Bible the same way that one or two of the 800 billion people on Earth do so it's a doctrine? Talk about taking the easy way out.
How can you know Jesus outside of a spiritual relationship?
You can't and I never said you could, but I did say is that you have to account for the flesh that you're trapped inside of. It is in constant conflict with the spirit.
Who are these other two?
We mostly agree here, but I'm not trapped inside of the flesh.
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Interpret that as being "trapped inside the flesh"
Get yourself free Andy.
BTW that is all doctrines you've accepted as your own, you repeat them, where do they come from?
Not setting up the ministry for the antichrist, not cutting off God's prophecies, not helping to obscure the deception. I am not endued with those powers. I am not the Holy Spirit nor am I Jesus Christ. I can only listen to the Word that I was given by Him, all other men can blow off for all I care.
"This was not just another literal angel that came down from heaven, for here he is referred to as a “mighty” or “strong” messenger. An angel is a messenger, and the messenger stands for the message. The angels in the book of Revelation are wonderful symbols representing the living word of God communicated by the spirit of revelation! The spirit of Jesus Christ is the living word of God! In the beginning of the book an “angel” came and began to show these things unto John — that is, a powerful word of the Lord came to John out of the heavenly realm of the Spirit, speaking mysteries to his heart and passing before his spiritual eyes visions of wonders to come. The proof of this is found in John’s own statement as to how the revelation was received. “He (Jesus) sent and signified it unto His servant John: who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all that he saw” (Rev. 1:1-2). Thus, this mighty angel or messenger who cries with a strong voice is a great and powerful WORD OF THE LORD whose glory lightens the earth! Truly, IT IS THE LORD! HE is the mighty messenger!"
"The spirit of Jesus Christ is the living word of God!"
