Yep, paid off the house 7 years ago, no credit card debt, drive used cars, always have and we don't have homeowners insurance either. Of course, our house is a small bungalow so that's why it's paid off. That damn insurance is ridiculous. They go by square footage which is bullshit because my house is 100 years old and if something happened to it, we'd clear the lot and sell just to get the hell out of here. They just want to give you replacement shit but we wouldn't replace.
