A plane that took off from Birmingham, England, bound for Antalya, made an emergency landing in Greece after the pilot fainted during the flight.
According to the Turkish Sözcü, the incident happened on August 23.
While the plane, which took off from Birmingham Airport, was en route to Antalya, passengers said they experienced severe turbulence. While the plane made an emergency landing in Thessaloniki, passengers disembarked and ambulances were on the runway.
"We all noticed something was wrong at the front of the plane," one of the passengers told British broadcaster Birmingham Live. We thought a passenger might have been injured during the turbulence sequence. We were then told that we would be landing in Greece due to an emergency. However, information about why it happened was not shared . he said.
After the plane landed in Thessaloniki, the passengers noticed that the pilot was sick and the pilot was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
It turned out that the pilot passed out during the flight at an altitude of about 30 thousand feet.

How goes it in Greece at the minute? I stopped checking MSM last year after the protests and after hearing of fines for declining injections due the over 60’s. Are things any better now?
Yes, the vax passport was suspended but we are nearing the end of the tourist season so I anticipate more lockdowns from September, as a minimum - the government promised it.
Masks are still mandatory in government offices and "medical establishments", although my optician has finally given up on them and I've been in two pharmacies that didn't comment. (A third did so I walked out.)
I went into an electronics store today to buy components and the guy behind the counter quickly put his mask on. And I see many elderly people wearing masks while alone on the street or driving. Totally in fear. Very sad.
But covid is sweeping through the vaxxed without killing them so a few are beginning to wake up. But regrettably few.
Although I'm well over 60, the government hasn't deducted my fine yet - possibly because my pension comes from the UK. But other people have been fined.
Frankly, I'm surprised at the lack of resistance because the people here are renowned for fighting government, based on occupation by Venetians, Ottomans and Germans. Maybe there's a tipping point coming. I think that elections are due soon but, as usual, it's a choice between representatives of three or four parties, including Communist and "Golden Dawn" (supposedly far-right but in reality they just want to kill all coloreds).
Thanks so much for the reply. I have a family member in Greece, and while we haven't fallen out over the injections, we very much disagree, and when we do (rarely) talk, we try to avoid the whole Covid subject completely. I'm hoping I'll be proved right in the MSM eventually, although she'll likely never admit that I was right. It's madness to lockdown again, but yes, I remember them saying once the tourist season was over (have to get those tasty tourist dollars first!) they would be restricting again. Utter madness.
