Thought I would let everyone know that when we took our infant into the emergency room for a persistent high fever they asked if we wanted to test for for covid-flu. We declined. I find it funny that is what they refer to covid now in a professional medical setting. I never bought into it but just wanted to share that is what the medical community is referring to it as. We had to take our child to the emergency room a few months back and were badgered to get him a “viral panel” nasal swab as they called it. They said “it’ll test for everything!” He wasn’t even in there for anything remotely related…It was actually quite satisfying declining it as they weren’t happy and tried multiple times to convince us and even shame us. Sorry, not subjecting my kid to your hospital’s shameless policies and revenue-generating attempts!
They definitely tried to shame when they said that if we had gotten our infant vaccinated we wouldn’t have to go through the tests
