I hear you. Sad.
When I was younger, I wanted to do my nursing training via Walter Reed Medical Center nurses’ training program. My father forbade it, saying he knew what the military was like. Back then you listened to your parents. I wish now I had followed that comment up with questions. He never spoke of his time in the military and I now regret the questions I never asked. My parents were wise before their time with good insight. My mother read a lot. When you are young you are very self centered and take things for granted. I wish now I had asked more questions and been more attuned to their struggles throughout life. I believe many of our military really want to serve our country, but the military is misrepresented to them. Like every other branch of government, it is corrupted and our young men and women are puppets with strings being pulled by puppet masters who serve a higher leader for purposes of power and financial gain. Our young men and women are the unknowing victims of the callous leaders. It is sad to find out that everything you knew and believed in was a lie. I do thank and appreciate all who serv and served, as well as their and their family’s sacrifice. They did unknowingly sacrifice for leaders who betrayed them with false wars, occupations and missions.
