I don’t really understand how this is a brilliant take. Electric cars are a shit deal at the moment due to cost and charge times but regular internal combustion engines also tie you down to a controlled infrastructure. If a layer of the drilling, refining and distribution system set up to get me gasoline goes down I’m shit out of luck. I can’t exactly drill or refine my own oil.
