Tired of trying to find a politician that believes exactly like you do? Then your search is over. I would be a politician that would vote based on how we feel not how I feel. I will assemble a team of top notch website maker uppers. On this website any registered voter in my precinct can login and tell me how they would like me to vote on a particular bill. I will also keep an update of any bills to be voted on, and all the information that I have available to me to share about said bill. All constituents can decide yes, no, or need more information. I will cast the vote (or not) based upon the result of the poll.
No amount of media scrutiny would be able to shake me. When I asked about my particular feelings, for example abortion, I would simply say, "It's irrelevant my, vote will be based upon what my constituents want. If your bill pleases them, it pleases me and you can have my vote, if not, tough toenails.
I would also propose bills to Congress, based on my constituents input, in a different section of aforementioned website. Any bill I may propose, will be available for discussion, scrutiny, and just basic spitballing.
My thoughts and imaginations go far beyond that, but this is just a sample of how I would enter the political arena. I worked as a operations manager in trucking for over 20 years, and currently work construction and pizza delivery, while being a Grandpa for the first time.
I've got a lot of positive reactions, or neutral, amongst my family and friends. I'd appreciate if you take a moment, and give me your opinion thus far.
Thanks in advance.
Something I once heard: “If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything”.
I’m sure your heart is in the right place, but as a voter, I would want to know where you stand on matters.
I see it as standing for the constitution, and standing for the people I represent.
I have heard this argument before, and I feel somewhere deep in you, there's a negative vibe. Why is it important for you to know my personal feelings? Not saying I wouldn't give them, but why important??
I would give my opinion on any bill that was to be voted on. Regardless of my opinion, I would vote based on what my constituents want.
Generally, in considering a candidate, I would want to know what their values are, what they believe - are they in alignment with my own values and beliefs? If so, I would vote for them, trusting that they would vote on any particular matter as I would wish them to. How wonderful would it be to be assured that my representative would vote as I would want them to! For some context, I live in a blue area within one of the bluest of blue states. As an “ultra-MAGA” conservative, I can’t remember a time when I had representation. I wish you only the best in your endeavor.
