Interesting article. Schrödinger's cat has more than nine lives it seems. Zero point energy and magnetism tie into his theory. As to why a single charged atom of beryllium could have two phase states at the same time that interfere with one another. ( deeper reading) 1996 experiment. No different than sine and cosine waves crossing zero point axis. Some amazing physics simplified into a cat story. The author of the story is right as well. A ponzi scheme can't last forever.
Can you please help enlighten me re: Schrödinger’s cat. So is the point of the thought exp to illustrate the quantum theory in a “macro” scale? I.e the cat can be alternating between an alive or dead state until the moment an observer views it?
I'm not completely certain what you're asking, but yes, Schrödinger’s cat was an illustration as a thought experiment about quantum mechanics. Basically it points out that an atom can be in multiple phase states at the same time independently. The variable is the observer and time. His theory was proven correct in 1996, that an atom can indeed be in at least two states of being, or phases, at the same time. The author of the blog is stating if the bond markets crash, money would be as useful as trying to feed Schrödinger’s cat after it was dead, not that the market is in two different states of being at the same time.
That’s what I was asking…if it was just to illustrate principles quantum physics in macro scale. Thanks for clearing that up.
