I believe Jews are defined as those who are located in Judah after Israel divided into North / South.

If you go to Jewish Virtual Library, Khazars are Turkish and Mongol descendants. Japheth emigrated east and mix with them is my understanding.

I have no idea how one become a Jew? Maternal, that's interesting because they are a patriarchal society as evidenced by the Bible.

I have Jewish friends and they told me it's based upon history (lineage) but no one said it's from the dad or mom's blood line.

If you believe in certain info, Khazarian Jews are not true Jews because they left the area and mixed.
