My thoughts...
Governor - Tudor Dixon Her campaign contributions were $2,363,756 compared to Gretchen Whitmer's $26,046,921
Secretary of State - Kristina Karamo her campaign contributions were $695,677 compated to Jocelyn Benson's $3,615,139
Attorney General - Matt DePerno His campaign contributions were $768,694 compared to Dena Nessel's $3,404,953 THIS ONE IS YUGE! (they all are, but I really hate Dena Nessel)
Prop1 -NO Prop2 -NO Prop3 -NO
Prop 3 is an obvious one. They made this one so vague they will be aborting babies up till the moment of birth. see here... https://ballotpedia.org/Michigan_Proposal_3,Right_to_Reproductive_Freedom_Initiative(2022)
Prop 2 has voting I.D. in it, but is also bloated with stuff like 9 day early voting and drop boxes etc. see here.. https://ballotpedia.org/Michigan_Proposal_2,Voting_Policies_in_Constitution_Amendment(2022)
Prop 1 Not sure. see here... https://ballotpedia.org/Michigan_Proposal_1,Legislative_Term_Limits_and_Financial_Disclosure_Amendment(2022)
Michigan Supreme Court: Brian Zahra and Paul Hudson
On to the districts. This one can be confusing because of redistricting.
I can speak for the 4th. Bill Huizenga. Thank god Fred Upton is gone (he voted to impeach Trump)
So I know this all can basically be summed up as voting down Republican, but I feel like it would be good for Michiganders who are unsure on certain propositions / districts to discuss.
I know I left out school boards and lower level politics, but that's why I put this together. Let's also talk about ways to stop the steal. I would love to help set up drop box surveillance, but there so many boxes out there. Any thoughts??
I am voting no on prop1 , because this prop would put this into the state constitution, and getting rid of it later or even changing it would be a mammoth undertaking. I think we can do better with a standard law and a good solid red house ,senate, and governor. Of course voting no on props 2 and 3 also... I live in upton's district too...St joe county. I have looked up drop boxes for my area and all seem to be inside the polling places, How about your area? BTW, I agree on Hudson, and Zahra.
I live in nearby Berrien County, deep rural, small township office polling place. Deep red here, but with a Dominion machine that I placed my primary ballot in. Parking lot drop box that I’m hoping no one uses. Voting NO on all props and the OP nailed my other choices. Locally, it will most likely go all red as well.
EDIT: Dig the user name. I just set up my Logic Pro system last night. Got the itch to start playing/writing again…
How is logic pro? I spent 8 to 10 years learning and trying to become an expert on cakewalk pro audio only to have all that work ripped out from underneath me when cakewalk went bankrupt...no support left.
There’s a bit of a learning curve, but for simple writing/demoing, you could probably get something down within a couple of hours of working with it, especially with your Cakewalk experience. You’d want to spend much more time with it if you’re looking to use it to make something close to professional, but that obviously applies to all DAWs/music software.
I didn't know that about prop1, thank you. That only reinforces my thoughts on it. I am amazed that Republican members couldn't get anything better on the ballot or revise current propositions. Are they not in control of state legislature? Good to know there's a fren nearby, I live in an area surrounded by sheep.
Yes they do control house and senate, but, the leaders are rino's. Shirkey in particular. He and the leaders of the republican party in MI. put a complete stop/hold on anything having to do with investigating the 2020 election. All members of the republican party in MI. were told to shut up or suffer the consequences. My rep, Steve Carra is one of the only ones who ignored them, good guy. Glad to see there are neighbor frens nearby. My area is mostly amish.
Sturgis? Lol
Watervliet/Hartford in Berrien/Van Buren has a large Amish community, that no doubt spreads to St. Joe’s more rural area. Call me what you want, but I’ve been meaning to make the drive to Sturgis to check out the last remaining Hot N Now (Rott N Cow) kek
Maybe vote no then...instead of passing?
St. Joe?! FREN! We are neighbors. I'm on Y avenue in Vicksburg.
I cut through there often, on the way to gun lake casino.
Not a fan of firekeepers?
I do go there occasionally, but I seem to win more at gun lake. The wife does really well at 4 winds dowagiac.
