Do you suppose Elon has been with Satanist friends and has gone along with their customs and symbolism merely as a social thing but doesn't truly believe in the existence of a spiritual realm? This would explain how he could be fighting for the freedom of humanity while donning the trappings of the Satanists. Just a thought.
