My daughter works for a hospital. She applied for and was denied an exemption for the flue shot. She did receive an exempting for the COVID shot. I have been hearing that they were planning to include the COVID in the flue shot. Does anyone out there know if this is being done right now? If so does the flue shot become NON APPROVED by virtue of the COVID being added to it?

What kind of exemption was she granted for Covid vax? I had requested a religious exemption from C vax and it was granted; along with that those that were given the C vax exemption were automatically given exemption from the flu vax. I was thoroughly surprised. I had anticipated on having to fight for another exemption. If her first exemption was religious that should be sufficient for this as well...and, who is to say that her beliefs have become stronger/changed and now she is requesting a religious exemption. Not sure how many states have this in their State Constitution, but I stated something like: "am writing to inform you of my religious exemption from vaccinations in accordance with the Indiana State Constitution and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Vaccinations are in conflict with my deeply held religious beliefs. Thank you for your assistance in the matter."
I completely agree with you/her...I will no longer comply with vaccine mandates simply because it is mandated. I will do my research and decide for myself! Hope this helps. Stay healthy. Stand your ground!
She was grant the COVID exemption for religious reasons. It was accepted. She applied for the flue exemption for the same reasons and was denied. I had a talk with her today. I'm so proud of her. She is holding strong. We discussed getting a lawyer. They approve a religious exemption for a vaccine and disapprove a religious exemption for a vaccine. I'm just a shit hose lawyer but it seems to me that they have to be consistent. or they will lose in court.
Here is an update to my daughters fight. They caved and granted her exemption. My daughter made an interesting statement. She said they had no choice. They are a level one trauma center. If she is gone then they only have people there for days. If you get injured at night you will have to wait until the next morning or they would have to call someone in. Scary stuff if your in an accident. at night.
Wow. I am glad they caved, but not happy with their reason. As opposed to saying “we respect your beliefs and your right to refuse” they are saying we will keep you simply because we are short-staffed in regards to your position; at any other time we would reject your request and disregard your beliefs and rights…I have lost so much respect for my hospital. They always seem to choose the wrong side: BLM, women’s healthcare (abortion on demand), their Covid protocols, and their stance on the vax. I am always keeping an ear out for another position such as Regenerative Medicine. Your daughter should never cave in the future to their demands!
