How to avoid vaccines for travel to Africa?

Any suggestions or ideas to avoid mandatory vaccines such as yellow fever for travel to Africa? I have a friend going who is trying to get a visa but isn’t able to without this stupid vaccine.

Africa wasn't known as the missionaries graveyard for nothing. Research, research, research. Also would depend on which part your friend is visiting. I recently cured myself of a horrible case of mrsa because of a study done by doctors in Ghana.
