I’ve seen some confusion on this, or at-least I’m confused because of course msm says we didn’t win. But here on GAW I see posts that say we won both. What is the fact?

Technically the Republicans do have a majority in the Senate. The two Independents in the Senate get to caucas with the Democrats. The media likes to pretend they are democrats for the sake of declaring a "winner".
When you sort all the Senate members out by party afiliation, Democrats only have 48 members, ̶w̶h̶i̶c̶h̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶u̶n̶c̶h̶a̶n̶g̶e̶d̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶b̶e̶f̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶c̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶e̶l̶e̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶.̶
Warlock/Walker race may give them their 49th. But the majority in the Senate would still be Republican.
Why do the democrats get a majority speaker when they don't actually have a majority? Who knows ... no one seems to actually ask that question either ... but that's how it goes.
In regards to the House, Republicans have reached the threshold for a majority, 218. There are still more House races that are still going on sadly but baring any weird things where recounts or errors cause a Republican to loose suddenly then Republicans will have the House in the next session of Congress.
What will ultimately happen next year in the 118th Congress is a Republican majority in the House of Representatives and a Democrat controlled Senate either with 50D-50R with Harris as tie breaker or 51D-49R
Thank you for this, really spells it out for my smallish brain. Understood loud and clear.
