In the UK , the farmers are now loosing all of their subsidies over the next few years. This will put many out of business and increase food costs for the plebs. Their land will most likely be bought up by the giant concerns for very little and farmers have now overtaken vets in the occupation suicide league.
Maybe technology has better ways..hydroponics..vertical farming...music to grow faster and better crops ...planting at night time for some plants....growing crops without the need for fertilisers etc. It definitely is an inefficient way to grow crops.
