maybe not you personally, but many in the wider culture have regressed back into pre-Christian paganism and barbarism. Maybe you can guarantee your own good behavior, but can you guarantee that of your kids, grandkids, and so forth much less other people? What keeps people from slipping into evil is active consciousness of God and that there are standards He sets to which we must measure up to. It's what built Western Civilization and we are in the last stages of an accelerating decline.
