Are we a bunch of hopium addicts who played ourselves? Have we been played by glowies laughing their asses off as we chase the laser pointer? Dozens if not hundreds of posts about the Brunson case this past month, and the few posters who correctly explained it was a procedural nothing burger were buried in an avalanche of opinions with no factual knowledge of the process. Yes, I bought into the hopium for a while.

I love the free thinking on this forum, but sometimes you need to listen and weigh accordingly lawfags special expertise in such cases. Brunsen was bringing a Writ of Cert to overturn the Lower court's decision that they lacked standing to litigate such a matter in the first place. The remedy, even if the Supremes had taken the case would never have been the dismissal of the Congressional reps. The best result would have been for it to be sent back to the lower court. The 'trumpets' and 'jan 6' date for acceptance were merely the 'shiny objects' that allowed lay people to suspend their judgment of the actual facts of the case.
Wish we had a way for the mods to assign the stickies to topic experts to critique. Not to approve or disapprove leftist style but merely to attach their analysis in a prominent way for the rest of us to consider. In this case the legal minds could have explained why it was likely hopium. As is, these forums are sometimes no better than me and a few buddies speculating about things we know nothing about. Fun, but not informative.
