The thing I try to remember is that most people are mediocre at their job / profession. This is why the tire change guy chips my rims. This is why the mechanic might fix my car, but create a new problem that will cause it to break down in the next few hundred miles. This is why software bugs exist. This is why politicians are corrupt (they cannot figure out how to get ahead ethically). This is why a few athletes score all the points and most just guard... sometimes.

Which is why you should have never trusted your doctor or anyone in the medical field. Leaving life-critical work in the hands of the adequate is a recipe for disaster. What's that statistic? Around 400k deaths due to medical "misadventure" every year in the USA. The USA only has around 2.8M deaths per year. That would mean 14% of annual deaths are due to medical error. Pre-Covid!!

I was never really that trusting of it to begin with, but this was the nail on the coffin for me.
