Our instructions, if this is the abomination that makes desolation, are to get off the grid. Matthew 24:22. God will be intervening because if not everyone would have died. Q says we are not prophets. This is a direct tie in to this passage. Jesus returns within a few years of that event.
Correct, if He didn't shorten the days for the elects sake, there would be no flesh left to save. We're a little over 2 years into this deal. Won't be long before the enemy takes this thing up another level.
