What if faith is but one of many ways to focus intent and it is the focusing that is the key? I never had faith and have found that cultivating doubt seems to work great. Fixating on doubting our understanding of reality or anything in it potentially opens up other possibilities which may be closer to the true reality.
What if there was no beginning and no end and no creator? Existence would just be. Would that be bad or amazing? Religion and science would have both seemed to have attempted to contain the limitless magnificence of it all by proscribing a beginning some thousands or billions of years ago, greatly diminishing the scope of the infinite eternal reality itself in the minds of credulous masses.
We live in a Physical, Finite environment that is Provably losing complexity and is degrading, which Demands a Beginning⌠And way too many realities within it Desimate the law of Probability in your theory, rendering the necessary COINCIDENCES Impossible⌠There is no credible or acceptable evidence for it all JUST TO HAVE HAPPENED⌠Considering all of this and the mountains of facts that make your theory impossible , I canât buy it⌠If Iâm wrong there are literally no negative consequences⌠but if your theory isâŚ?!!
I would say literally retarding human consciousness with a made up story has very obvious consequences.
I'm not saying anything happened. I'm saying it could have always been and might always be. I don't think there is incontrovertible evidence against that as you say.

Are you Assuming youâre right or have you actually researched it⌠Iâve done an extensive amount of research on the subject, as in thousands of hours, ( for personal reasons) not to Prove there is a creator, but rather to explore the possibility that all of the complexity, that there is, having Just Happened.. Iâd highly suggest doing the same⌠It was an incredible eye opener!! One that made me realize the last part of what I wrote in my First answer to you was more than hyperbole!!
You don't sound like you can even think anymore about possibilities outside your faith. You can't operate in a frame of reference that is not in your belief system. You can't do a thought experiment and think well, what if it's all a bunch of bullshit and there is no big bang and no creation and no limit to our "universe;" then what? How does one "study" such things and come up with a concrete answer? It's beyond me. I'm happy admitting it's not something I as a human being can give a definite verdict on.
