However it's all on full display for anyone with even just a little bit of discernment to see. I don't believe we will get a reprieve for the allegedly good guys to come save the day.

In context of scripture and what we're witnessing God says He will get the glory by personally dealing with these evil creatures. He's just giving us all time to wake up and repent. Once that very last person comes to repentance, it's over. As in Jesus will destroy them all.
