It's not just Austin, it's all of Travis County. In Williamson County just to the North you don't see homeless encampments, but cross the county line in Travis County and boom, there they are. I hardly ever see a patrol car patrolling the highways in Travis County anymore.

As a fellow Texan, I believe that it’s ruled by Dems. I’m from Houston area where mostly Dems rule.
Crime is definitely up since Biden got in office.

I lived there from 2006 until 2012, I escaped just in time. I saw the writing in the wall back then when they were allowing a group of homeless to harass people on 6th street.
