Haha this again.
Not true. They tried to enslave the whole country in ridiculous debt by trying to make the Icelandic population reimburse investors in a private bank called Icesave. It had over 300.000 accounts including municipalities and the sums were huge. They had promised outrageous interests but it was basically a Ponzi scheme. We did prevent that by some hard work and protests but most of these players are still free and doing business. A few got some minor slap on the wrist sentences in a fancy jail, just to try to alleviate the worries of the people.
Meanwhile, Iceland is a cesspool of corruption and the woke agenda is thriving.
