It does a lot of good things that won't be mentioned obviously, and it states it is a "contingency plan" but this reads more like a last ditch effort to contain something, then just "forcing vaccinations".
If you read through it it authorizes pharmacies to compound medicine manually on site, it reauthorizes retired medical personnel to become medical staffers again, it deals with energy shortages. emergency funding, etc.
Mind you it does state that if you have religious concerns, you would be quarantines rather than force vaccinated.
Then there is this:
(1) A business entity, as defined in s. 768.38 to include
1123 any business operating in this state, may not require patrons or
1124 customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19
1125 vaccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to, entry
1126 upon, or service from the business operations in this state.
1127 This subsection does not otherwise restrict businesses from
1128 instituting screening protocols consistent with authoritative or
1129 controlling government-issued guidance to protect public health.
1130 (2) A governmental entity as defined in s. 768.38 may not
1131 require persons to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19
1132 vaccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to, entry
1133 upon, or service from the governmental entity’s operations in
1134 this state. This subsection does not otherwise restrict
1135 governmental entities from instituting screening protocols
1136 consistent with authoritative or controlling government-issued
1137 guidance to protect public health.
I'm anti-vax, anti-force vax, anti-vax passport. I literally moved away from a blue state to FL in order for my family to be safer and yes, obviously that one section is concerning, but I guess it boil down to how someone would interpret:
1097 4. Ordering an individual to be examined, tested,
1098 vaccinated, treated, isolated, or quarantined for communicable for communicable
1099 diseases that have significant morbidity or mortality and
1100 present a severe danger to public health.
I'm tired of the Trump vs DeSantis side show, but what I do know, is that DeSantis has been one of the best, if not the best, governor in the country when dealing with the bullshit we have dealt with over the past three years.
You may feel different, fine, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to covid response based on his actions as a whole, not just cherry picked things.
Wasn't he anti-jab just not too long ago? What made him flip his script to forced jabs?
The bill is interesting:
