There was a 1956 Sci-Fi movie, ahead of its time back then but now utterly dated, called "Forbidden Planet." If you all haven't seen it, I can highly recommend it as a movie classic. In the movie, a previous species of inhabitants called The Krill had been wiped out many millennia before humans got there but their technology was still intact and operating... just no Krills left anywhere on the planet.
What killed off the Krill was a machine of their own making, an "AI" type of machine that would instantly provide anything any individual Krill might want. Because the Krill, brilliant as they were, had overlooked one small detail in their plans.
I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen the movie, and I hope anyone watching it for the first time will be as enchanted by it as I was when I saw it as a young lad.
Am I going to watch Leslie Nielsen in a serious role for once?
Semi-serious. He plays it straight, but the "technology" is outdated... you'll see what I mean. Enjoy!
:) cheers
So he bought Twitter to chase down his own creation?
Dude who founded it fucked him over. The buying of Twitter will probably be another great investment and pay for itself via Tesla marketing alone.
You mean @Jack?
What if Elon is AI in the 'flesh' 🤔 or Q? Now that would be interesting...
