Our team intercepted Alimamy*, an 8-year-old boy sitting unaccompanied at a ferry terminal. During questioning, he told our team that a “friend” had brought him to the area, asking him to wait there.

Recently, our team has heard about several instances where a child has been taken from their village and then dropped off at a transit area by a trafficker.

From there, the child has been picked up by someone else and then taken to another destination. There have also been several recent reports of child sacrifice by politicians. These politicians have consulted native doctors, seeking favor or good luck to help them win elections. In turn, the native doctors have asked the politicians to bring them various body parts from virgins or young children, promising them that the body parts will ensure good luck.

Based on these reports, our team immediately intercepted Alimamy to protect him and keep him safe. As Sierra Leone approaches their election season, please pray against this atrocity as more and more people in higher places of authority are getting involved in this form of trafficking and child sacrifice.
