If you graduate from a "legit" nursing school, the state gives you the right to sit for the NCLEX (national nursing licensure exam). It's a hard test, but people can be taught to the test, like US public schools do to keep the money flowing in. I guess those schools were at one time legit, otherwise I don't see how their students even got to take the NCLEX.
