In control of the narrative. Trying to awaken the people of the world, about their planned destruction, in the most convincing way possible. Hitler could have easily stopped or seriously damaged the D Day invasion. Fake military units were staged to draw his forces away, and it worked. Psyops is as effective today, as it was then.
